Quito, November 23 (RHC) -- Cuba was represented Thursday at the inauguration of the new president of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, with a delegation led by the Minister of Higher Education of our country, Walter Baluja.
At the ceremony, which took place this Thursday at the National Assembly (Parliament), Baluja was among the main authorities present and exchanged greetings with the ruler.
The Caribbean nation has expressed its desire to continue advancing in bilateral relations, which precisely in higher education have found a space to expand ties, although there are possibilities of deepening them also in other areas of common interest.
As part of his visit, the representative of the Cuban government met in this capital with the president of the Higher Education Council of Ecuador, Pablo Beltrán, and with the rector of the Technical University of Manabí, Santiago Quiroz.
As a result of these dialogues, the Minister of the Caribbean nation anticipated that Ecuador intends to participate with a large delegation in the University Congress 2024, scheduled for February next year in Havana.
There we can have space for a meeting of rectors of institutions of both countries and that can mark the turning point for relations between the professional training centers of both parties, said the official.
