Governments of Cuba and Azerbaijan promote political ties with the signing of a memorandum of understanding

Havana, Dec 4 (RHC) Cuba and Azerbaijan signed this Monday a memorandum of understanding for the establishment of a mechanism for political consultations.

The document, signed between the corresponding Ministries of Foreign Affairs will facilitate closer bilateral ties based on the principles and provisions of the United Nations charter. It will also allow the establishment of a practical and effective mechanism to intensify inter-ministerial consultations on issues of mutual interest.

The text was signed by Elio Rodríguez, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, and his Azerbaijani counterpart, Elnúr Israfíl Óglu Mammádov, in the presence of representatives of both Foreign Ministries. (Source: PL)
