Cuban Vice President began official visit to Tanzania
Havana, January 23 (RHC) The Vice President of Cuba, Salvador Valdés Mesa, arrived in Tanzania this Tuesday to begin an official visit.
Valdés was received by Angela Jasmine Kairuki, Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism of that East African country.
The welcome took place at the 'Julius Nyerere' international airport, in Dar es Salaam. The Cuban delegation arrived from Uganda, venue of the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement and the 3rd Southern Summit of the Group of 77 and China.
Cuba and Tanzania have maintained diplomatic relations for more than six decades, based on the fraternal friendship of the historical leaders Fidel Castro Ruz (1926-2016) and Julius Nyerere (1922-1999). (Source: ACN)
