Belarusian Defense Minister was recieved in the Cacahual monument, in Havana's Boyeros municipality
Havana, January 29 (RHC) The Minister of the Armed Forces (FAR) of Cuba and Army Corps General, Álvaro López Miera, this Monday officially received the Minister of Defense of Belarus, Lieutenant General, Víktor Jrenin.
Jrenin underlined the historic ties of friendship, collaboration and fraternity between Cuba and Belarus, and thanked the hospitality since his arrival on the island. He also pointed out that despite the geographical distance and cultural and historical particularities, both countries are very similar in the will to defend independence, social justice, and collaboration on equal terms with other states.
In addition, he stressed the importance of defending concepts such as stability and peace in the current conditions of the world.
The Belarusian minister was accompanied by that nation's ambassador to Cuba, Valery Baranovsky, and diplomatic personnel. Meanwhile, FAR chiefs attended on the Cuban side. (Source: PL)
