Havana, April 26 (RHC)-- Cuba continues today with the challenge of moving forward with its own efforts, in an adverse scenario due to the intensification of the United States blockade against the island and the international economic crisis.
This was stated by the Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, during his tours of the country's municipalities, where he emphasized the leading role that the people have in overcoming the current context.
The day before, in the municipality of Morón in the province of Ciego de Ávila, the head of state highlighted the potential that exists on the island to solve the problems: "we have talent, we have desire among all the Cuban people to achieve it," he said.
The president also stressed the importance of generalizing the positive experiences of business entities, which — in his opinion — have influenced the recovery of others with poor performance.
Since the beginning of the year, the president has frequently visited municipalities in all the territories of the country, where he holds meetings with groups from successful economic and social centers, or those that, despite not having worked well in previous years, are heading towards good work in 2024. even in the midst of limitations.
According to the Presidency of the Republic, these exchanges constitute learning spaces, criticisms are made and what the Central State Administration Agencies and other national entities have to contribute to support the municipalities.
In addition to the president, other leaders of the Caribbean nation also tour the territories to talk with the population and check the status of socioeconomic centers.
This Thursday, the president of the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament), Esteban Lazo, arrived in the province of Matanzas, where he called for a proactive position, with a view to self-sufficiency of the province, innovating and growing in production. (Source: Prensa Latina)
