Havana, April 26 (RHC) Cuba and Vietnam celebrated in the city of Ho Chi Minh the April victories of both peoples.

The Cuban consulate general in the Asian country, together with the Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Organization of Ho Chi Minh City, called for the celebration, which was attended by local leaders, representatives of the Foreign Ministry, students university students, diplomats and Cuban residents.

Truong Thi Hien, president of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Organization, noted that her country has supported Cuba's socioeconomic reforms and its position on safeguarding sovereignty and territorial integrity, while sharing its ideals and principles on international issues.

She also stated that bilateral relations are expanding in various sectors, including agriculture, industry, construction, culture, education, science, technology and healthcare.

In turn, the Consul General of Cuba in Ho Chi Minh City, Ariadne Feo Labrada, advocated further strengthening the multifaceted cooperation between the island and various Vietnamese localities, as well as promoting exchanges to reinforce people-to-people diplomacy between both countries.

The celebration included an exhibition of photos on the historical relations between both nations; paintings made by Vietnamese students of primary and secondary age; traditional songs and dances performed by Cuban and Vietnamese artists; and a sample of typical dishes from both nations.
