Havana, April 30 (RHC) The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, today denounced through his X account that four years have passed since the attack on the Cuban embassy in Washington without the US Government declaring the act as terrorist.

Rodríguez pointed out that the perpetrator of the events was not convicted and warned that impunity encourages crime.

On April 30, 2020, the citizen of Cuban origin Alexander Alazo fired 32 projectiles from a semi-automatic rifle at the diplomatic headquarters, endangering the lives of 10 officials who were in the building.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, which only caused material damage to the property. However, the White House opted for silence instead of rejecting the incident. The Minister himself said on that occasion that the attitude of the US administration made them it an accomplice in the event.

According to official data, at least 580 acts of state terrorism have occurred against diplomatic representations of Cuba since the triumph of the Revolution in January 1959.
