ELAM of Cuba calls for a symposium to celebrate anniversary
Havana, June 3 (RHC) The Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM) of Cuba convenes today the 5th Symposium on Basic Clinical Linkage, scheduled for July 10 and 11, as part of the celebrations for its 25th anniversary.
Organized by the faculty of professors of the Biological Bases of Medicine discipline, the Academic Vice-Rector's Office, and the Directorate of Professional Training, the event explores on this occasion the challenges of the Biological Bases of Medicine in this century.
Through debates, presentations of research results and conferences, it proposes academic exchange on current topics associated with biomedical studies, methodological and didactic aspects of the processes involved in professional training.
The presentations, in person or virtual, will cover topics linked to the profiles of Basic Sciences, including aging and cardiovascular diseases.
The requirements for receiving the works appear on the ELAM website, a school inaugurated on November 15, 1999 during the 9th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government held in Havana.
Last January, this center became the first Cuban medical institution to receive Certification from the International Evaluation and Accreditation Council of the Union of Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean. (Source: PL)
