Colombo, June 17 (RHC)-- The digital media Sri Lanka Guardian published today the demand in rejection of the United States policy against Cuba of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the Group of 77 (G77) and China.

The newspaper, in which hundreds of writers from all over the world collaborate, fully highlights the statement from international organizations that demands the elimination of Cuba from the list created by the United States of countries supposed to sponsor terrorism.

In a joint statement, both groups described the designation on the Caribbean island as an unjust and unfounded accusation that serves as a pretext to impose unilateral coercive measures against its people.   The statement highlights that this strengthens the economic, commercial and financial blockade that Washington has maintained for more than 60 years against the people of the Caribbean nation.

The declaration urges the U.S. government to end the economic siege, which is the main obstacle to the country's development, and calls for compliance with the 31 resolutions adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in this regard.

The organizations reiterated the need to eliminate the imposition of laws and regulations with extraterritorial impact, as well as coercive measures, including unilateral sanctions against developing countries.
