Havana, October 1 (RHC) Cuba had a successful participation in the 2nd International Fair of Culture, Tourism and Education held in the Miraflores district, in Lima, Peru, on the occasion of World Tourism Day (September 27).
The Cuban ambassador to Peru, Carlos Rafael Zamora, pointed out that the large influx of public to the Cuban stand showed the appreciation of Peruvians for the culture of the island.
The fair was attended by representatives from 30 countries and seven cultural and educational institutions.
The Peruvian Ministers of Development and Social Inclusion, Julio Demartini; and of Commerce, Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Desilú León, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, were present at the inauguration.
The Cuban stand exhibited the tourist attractions of the country as well as the values of its culture and products such as rum, tobacco, and the art of rolling tobacco. It also offered souvenirs, samples of traditional cuisine, and typical desserts. (Source: Prensa Latina)
