San José, January 28 (RHC) –- Costa Rican Vice President Ana Helena Chacón praised her country's relations with Cuba during a meeting with the Cuban head of state, Raul Castro.
Raul Castro arrived yesterday in Costa Rica, heading an official delegation to the 3rd Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States underway today and tomorrow.
During the brief exchange, the Costa Rican official described as excellent the bilateral relations between San José and Havana, adding they were delighted to welcome the first Cuban President to visit Costa Rica in recent history.
She also asserted that both sister nations hold common views on regional dialogue and unity between the peoples.
The Cuban delegation is made up of Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, Deputy Foreign Minister for Multilateral Affairs, Abelardo Moreno, and the charge d´affairs of the Cuban embassy in Costa Rica, Nirsia Castro Guevara.
