Geneva, March 19 (RHC) -- Cuba reiterated on Wednesday at the United Nations its unconditional support of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the face of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States on the South American nation.
The Caribbean island supports the Venezuelan people and the legitimate government of President Nicolas Maduro, stated Anayansi Rodriguez, permanent representative of Cuba in Geneva, after speaking at the 28th period of sessions of the Human Rights Council.
We reject the aggressive Executive Order issued by President Barack Obama. Noone has the right to interfere in the internal affairs of a sovereign State or declare it, without foundation, a threat to its national security, she said.
The 28th period of sessions will run until March 27 at the Palace of Nations, home to the UN headquarters in Geneva.
