Brussels, June 15 (PL-RHC)-- Representatives of Cuba and the European Union are holding a new round of negotiations to reach an agreement on political dialogue and cooperation.
The meeting, being held Monday and Tuesday in Brussels, is taking place just a few days after the summit between the European bloc and CELAC, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States. Leaders of both integration mechanisms expressed support for rapprochement between Brussels and Havana.
This is the fourth round of talks between the European Union and the Caribbean country, which began in 2014.
According to Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Abelardo Moreno, the current round of negotiations could close the chapter on cooperation and progress on issues related to trade and political dialogue.
