Cuban President Raul Castro Holds Talks with Presidents of Russia and France in New York

United Nations, September 29 (RHC)-- Cuban President Raul Castro has met in New York with his counterparts from Russia, Vladimir Putin, and France, Francois Hollande, in the context of the annual high-level debate of the UN General Assembly.

During the meetings, the good state of bilateral relations was discussed and new actions were designed to strengthen ties.  The Cuban leader also attended a reception hosted by the President of the United States, Barack Obama.
On Monday, Raul Castro delivered a speech at the General Assembly of the United Nations, in which he said the international community can always count on the sincere voice of Cuba against injustice, inequality and for the establishment of a more just and equitable international order.

Since Raul arrived in New York, he has carried out an intense program of activities that has included meetings with international and U.S. personalities and ceremonies for the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Palau and the Marshall Islands.
