Santa Clara, October 24 (RHC)-- The International Conference 'Abogacía 2015' concluded Friday in central Villa Clara province with a master conference by Cuban lawyer Rodolfo Dávalos, on the legal challenges posed by the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and Cuba.
Dávalos, a professor with the Havana University's Law School, pointed to sharp differences between the U.S. and Cuban legal systems, added to which, he said, is the language barrier.
During the three-day event, more than 700 delegates from Cuba and around the world debated issues related to civil right, family rights, judicial procedures, and conflict settlement.
During Friday's closing session, the organizing committee acknowledged Cuban institutions and personalities with an outstanding work. They also announced that a similar conference will be held in 2016.
