Havana, November 2 (RHC)-- Air China, China's national passenger airline, will begin operating direct flights between Beijing and Havana on December 27th, the first such flights ever, connecting the Asian country with the Caribbean region.
Chinese government sources said a Boeing 777-300ER will depart from the Chinese capital for the Cuban capital three times a week with a stopover in Montreal, Canada.
The initiative, in the framework of the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Beijing and Havana, aims to strengthen China's economic and trade links with the Caribbean, especially Cuba.
