Havana, May 18 (RHC-PL) -- Top protocol, security and media officials for the governments of the countries in the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) are finalizing details in Havana for the 7th Summit of the organization.
The advance meeting, which began Monday and ended today, Wednesday, will guarantee a successful summit on June 4th in the Cuban capital, the Cuban Foreign Ministry reported.
According to the statement, Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Ana Teresa Gonzalez welcomed the participants and ratified that this Summit would defend the legitimate interests of the Caribbean.
As part of the program, they visited the different venues of the event, such as the Revolution Palace (the Executive's headquarters), where heads of Sate and Government will meet and Havana Convention Center, where top officials and foreign ministers will hold their meetings.
They also visited the hotels where the delegations will stay, as well as other selected places.
This summit will commit itself to unity as an essential purpose for the sustainability of the Caribbean.
