Havana, June 8 (RHC)-- On Wednesday, Cuba and the United States held the first Counterterrorism Technical Exchange in Havana.
The U.S. delegation included working-level representatives from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (ICE-HSI), and the Department of State.
Coordination and cooperation on counterterrorism has been one of several important topics discussed in law enforcement dialogues between the two countries.
The Havana meeting is part of regular contacts between high-level representatives since December 2014, when the two governments announced the beginning of a process towards the normalization of U.S.-Cuba relations.
