Havana, September 5 (RHC)-- Although Cuba has a low fertility rate, the percentage of teenage pregnancies is increasing, with worrying numbers between the ages of 12 to 14, warned specialists from the Center for Demographic Studies of the University of Havana.
The warning came at a theoretical event hosted by the National Center for Sexual Education (CENESEX), to celebrate World Sexual Health Day, annually observed on September 4 since 2010.
Experts from the Center for Population and Development Studies (CEPDE) of the National Statistics and Information Office, the Centre for Demographic Studies of the University of Havana and the United Nations Population Fund in Cuba (UNFPA) participated in the discussions

As part of the celebration of the date, a new issue of the magazine Sexología y Sociedad was presented by its deputy director, Dr. Ada Alfonso, an edition that includes materials on issues that are not very well addressed, such as human trafficking in Cuba, sexuality in disability and bullying in schools.
