Middle East Advances to Total War

by Guillermo Alvarado

After the recent Israeli bombardment of Lebanon and the assassination of the historic leader of the Hezbollah group, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, as well as other leaders of this organization, everything indicates that the Middle East is one step away from an all-out war, with the enthusiastic support of the United States.

The Shiite cleric and excellent strategist was the central figure in the war that ended the Zionist occupation of southern Lebanon in 2000, and also became a strong ally of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad during the armed conflict imposed by Washington in that country.

Nasrallah's death was a hard blow for several nations in the region and it is almost certain that it will have serious consequences, including a large-scale confrontation involving the United States, which already has troops in the area.

The Israeli operation was a selective assassination, not a military operation, as Tel Aviv and US President Joseph Biden would have the world believe with their delirious declarations.

The chorus of praise was joined, as it had to be, by the Argentine ruler Javier Milei, another Zionist on all four sides.

Among the first reactions, Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, called on the people of that country to side with the Lebanese militia with all the means at their disposal, pointing out that the fate of the region will be decided by the resistance forces, with Hezbollah at the forefront.

He also called for an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss the advance of Israeli terrorism in the Middle East, an appointment that, if it were to take place, would undoubtedly be blocked by the United States, the main protector of the Zionist regime.

Blindly relying on Washington's full support, Tel Aviv continues its bombardments on Lebanon, leaving a large number of civilians dead, and the day before it extended them to Yemen, where it destroyed part of the electricity generating infrastructure.

The imminence of an all-out war is also evident in the recent statements of the White House national security spokesman, John Kirby, who said that they already have a very robust military capability there to help Israel defend itself. A trigger for the conflict, which seems inevitable, would be a Zionist ground action against Lebanon, which could happen at any moment, given the passivity of the international community and the ineffectiveness of the global organizations, led by the maniacal UN.
