Famous US singer Madonna is in Havana to celebrate her 58th birthday along with a group of friends and relatives. Madonna reportedly landed at Havana’s José Martí International airport and then toured different squares in the city to begin the first day of her visit, scheduled to wind up on Wednesday.
Born on August 16th, 1958, in Michigan, Madonna is celebrating her 58th birthday with a big party in the Cuban capital along with her production team and friends, including her stylists B. Akerlund, Andy Lecompte and photographer Steven Klein.
The singer, actress, producer and composer has been a pop icon for decades and done a long career in which she’s cultivated several music styles and made several albums, such as Like a Virgin, Erotica, or Music. She has a 19-year-old daughter, Lourdes León, with Carlos León, a dancer and physical trainer of Cuban descent.
Granma newspaper reports that the performer danced to the rhythm of La Guantanamera and tunes by Compay Segundo of the Buena Vista Social Club at an Old Havana Square on Monday.
