Aires de Mar Festival
Artemisa, July 28 (RHC)-- The 4th edition of the Aires de Mar Festival of Alternative Art will take place July 28th through August 1st on social networks and digital platforms, notably Telegram, Facebook and Instagram, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Organized by the branch of the Hermanos Saíz Association in Artemisa province, the Festival will develop from the municipality of Bahía Honda with a broad program that includes recitals and concerts by renowned local DJ, ensembles and soloists, as well as foreign guests, who have confirmed their participation.
The lineup includes Tiempos D´ Sí, Kamankola, Kolao and Duo Iris, Argentinian David Gibbons, and Don Juancho Villa, from Canada, among others, exponents of different genres like salsa, ballad, trova, hip hop and fusion music.
Activities in the framework of the 4th edition of Aires de Mar Festival will be broadcast also on Cuban television.
The artistic actions will be compounded with a wide variety of community works to clean up the beach and coastline, and to preserve marine ecosystems at Punta de Piedra beach.
First held in 2018, the Aires de Mar Festival emerged as an initiative of local artists in Artemisa province to encourage artistic creation and promote the work of young talents. This year’s edition is dedicated to the Hermanos Saiz Association on its 35th anniversary.
