Conjunto Arsenio Rodríguez
Havana, Sept. 18 (RHC)-- Cuba’s record and musical editions Company EGREM has released the latest album by Conjunto Arsenio Rodríguez, entitled "Llegó para quedarse".
The new musical production pays tribute to composer and tres guitar player Arsenio Rodríguez on the 110th anniversary of his birth, celebrated on August 30th past.
A note published by EGREM informs that the album includes new versions of tunes composed by Arsenio and works by other contemporary musicians, exponents of traditional Cuban genres and rhythms like son, bolero and guaracha.
Conjunto Arsenio Rodríguez was founded in 1940 by Arsenio Rodríguez himself –the author of iconic Cuban pieces like "La vida es un sueño", "Fuego en el 23", "Bruca maniguá" and dozens more.
Arsenio Rodríguez is considered the creator of mambo music. His music, as well as his unique style in playing the tres guitar and his contribution to Latin jazz won him international acclaim.
The album ‘Llegó para quedarse’ is already available on digital platforms, including the Cuban music platform Sandunga and the Facebook page and Youtube channel of EGREM.
