New album Modo Van Van

Havana, Dec 19 (RHC) The popular Cuban orchestra Los Van Van has announced a new album amid celebrations held today for the 54th anniversary of the group created by maestro Juan Formell.

The new phonogram will be released next Friday on all its digital platforms and at a press conference, said the orchestra's director, Samuel Formell, son of the legendary founding musician.

Samuel explained in his social networks that the new proposal is called "Modo Van Van", in his opinion, "the word mode has become fashionable", he clarified referring to the current terms of cell phones, such as "airplane mode".

"Modo Van Van" includes a theme that flirts with the development of digital technologies in Cuba. We have had to adapt, and life has led us to that," said the musician.

The new recording production of the renowned group is the result of a joint effort with Amboss Media and Bis Music.

In their trip to the east of the country, as part of the celebrations, Los Van Van arrived in Guantánamo this month to participate in the seventh edition of the "Chocolate con Café" Festival.

Their most recent album was released in 2020 under the title "Mi songo", a journey through the orchestra's 50 years of life. (Source: PL)
