Dominican Republic to host Caribbean Karate Championship
Havana, June 8 (RHC)-- The Caribbean Karate Championship will take place in the Dominican Republic from July 24 to 29 with the participation of 22 countries, according to the president of the Organizing Committee, Jean Luis Rodríguez.
The executive announced the information at a press conference, together with José Luis Ramírez, president of the Caribbean Karate Federation.
Convinced of the success of the event, Rodriguez said that athletes from Curaçao, Suriname, Bonaire, Haiti, Barbados, Aruba and Guyana will participate.
Jamaica, Trinidad, Puerto Rico, St. Lucia, Anguilla, Cuba, Grand Cayman and the Dominican Republic, as host country, will also take part. Mexico and Venezuela will be invited as guest nations.
