Havana, July 29 (RHC)-- The First Vice President of the Cuban Sports Institute (INDER), Raúl Fornés, expressed hope on Saturday for the success of the First International Cuban Sports Fair, to be held starting next Monday.
At a press conference, the executive commented that 110 companies will participate in the five-day event, 88 of them Cuban, both state-owned and private, and 22 others from 12 countries.
Sports talent and the knowledge of the technicians are not enough, elite sports today require state-of-the-art facilities and technology, which requires strategies that allow us to continue advancing," he stated.
According to the official, this is only the first step, and they are already thinking about the second edition of the Fair, in February 2025.
For her part, the general manager of Cubadeportes, Yadira González, said that in addition to the business and investment forums, there will be lectures by experts and exchanges with active and retired athletes.
Likewise, every day, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, there will be a recreational sports festival open to the public outside the capital's Sports City.
During the weekend, attendees will be able to enter the venue to observe the stands and exchange with exhibitors and participants of the Fair.
