The former Los Angeles Lakers player, now Toronto Raptors, scored 28 points and led the German attack accompanied by Franz Wagner (Orlando Magic), who contributed 19.
For Serbia, it is the second final loss in the last three World Championships despite the performance of Aleksa Avrámovic (21) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (19).
In the duel for the bronze medal, Canada also caused a surprise by knocking the United States off the podium with a 127-118 victory in a thrilling match that went to overtime.
