Havana, December 28 (JIT) -- Daniela Fonseca and Andy Pereira will have little time to enjoy this end of the year, as they face the preparation for the Corpus Christi 2024 Pan American Table Tennis Cup, in Texas, United States.
The event, scheduled for January 19 to 21, will bring together the 16 best exponents of the continent in each sex, who will also fight for qualification to the next world cup and for points for the world ranking.
This last option is the main incentive for Andy, silver medalist in the individual competition at the recent XIX Pan American Games in Santiago 2023, with aspirations of getting a ticket by ranking for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Daniela ensured her presence in the City of Light as a partner of Jorge Moisés Campos, by dominating the mixed doubles in the Chilean capital. Therefore, they will enjoy the experience for the second consecutive edition.
The Cup will have plenty of emotions and good play on the tables. Among those confirmed are Brazilian Hugo Calderano, three-time winner of the Pan American Games and fifth in the world ranking; the Chilean Nicolás Burgos and the Argentines Horacio Cifuentes and Santiago Lorenzo, all with experience and results at a continental level.
