Paris, Aug 9 (PL) The United States today won the women's 4x100-meter relay title in athletics at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Under the rain and with a great performance in the final stretch by Sha'Carri Richardson, silver medalist in the 100 meters, the U.S. quartet clocked 41.78 seconds, the best time of the season.
The U.S. team also included Mellissa Jefferson and Twanisha Terry, as well as Gabrielle Thomas, 200m champion.
Silver and bronze went to Great Britain (41.85) and Germany (41.97), in that order.
