New York, February 12 (RHC)-- Less than a month into his term as president, Donald Trump is carrying out what he wants to be the largest mass deportations in U.S. history against undocumented immigrants.  Over 8,000 people have already been deported, leaving families separated and facing an unknown fate.

As Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids New York, alongside other states, New Yorkers condemn the government's practices and call on all communities to stand in solidarity with the immigrants.

Karina Garcia, Former 2024 VP Candidate, underlined the real reason behind these deportations.

"The mass deportations are not intended to end immigration. In fact, the country benefits from undocumented immigration. These corporations are able to super exploit our people.

"We're not going to be their scapegoat.  The deportations are a massive human rights violation, but they're also a publicity stunt, because separating families and deporting immigrants is not going to get people healthcare.  It's not going to give people, you know, good jobs.  It's not going to protect their homes from big banks and corporations who around the country have been driving up the cost of rent.

"Separating families is just going to take away that little humanity that exists in this country after so much U.S. military intervention in the world."

The attribution of criminality to migrants by the Trump administration to justify the deportation campaign is being rejected by the people stating that the actual criminals are the ones in the Oval Office.
