Sanaa, April 24 (RHC)-- Saudi warplanes have reportedly carried out fresh aerial assaults on Yemen, bombarding several places across the impoverished country. According to local media reports on Friday, Saudi fighter jets pounded two districts in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden. There are no immediate reports of casualties in the attacks.
Reports further said dozens of people were killed after a Saudi air raid targeted a wedding ceremony in Yemen’s southwestern province of Ad Dali’. Two Saudi airstrikes also hit al-Houta district in the in the southern Yemeni province of Lahij.
Saudi Arabia launched its air campaign against Yemen on March 26th -- without a United Nations mandate. On April 21st, Riyadh announced the end of the first phase of its military operation, which claimed the lives of nearly 1,000 people in 27 days. However, sporadic airstrikes have continued with Saudi bombers targeting different areas across the country.
