Cairo, March 24 (RHC-NNN-MENA) - Arab Parliament has condemned in the strongest possible terms, the terrorist blasts that targeted the Belgian capital, Brussels, on Tuesday.
In a statement issued Thursday, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, said that "The Arab Parliament strongly condemns such terrorist acts, that are against any religion or morality."
He added that the Arab parliament had warned, for many years in various forums, about the risk of the spread of the abhorrent terrorism phenomenon. "What is unfolding in the Arab world extends to neighboring countries."
Al Jarwan called for more serious and joint international action, to address this serious scourge on all political, military and social levels. He pledged willingness of the Arab Parliament to back a concerted international effort, particularly at the parliamentary level.
