Havana, November 17 (RHC)-- The President of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang concluded a two-day official visit to Cuba on Thursday afternoon.
During his stay, the Vietnamese head of state held talks with President Raúl Castro and Revolution leader Fidel Castro and he was presented with the José Martí Order –Cuba's highest distinction granted by the Council of State.
On Wednesday, the presidents of Cuba and Vietnam presided over the signing ceremony of various agreements to strengthen ties in the telecommunications, animal health, industry and trade sectors.
The Vietnamese president's final activity in Cuba saw the inauguration of a business forum with the participation of business executives from the two nations.
From Cuba, the Vietnamese leader travels to Lima, Peru, to attend the 24th High-level Week of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum,(APEC) set for November 17th through the 20th.
