Havana, July 27 (RHC) – The Venezuelan government congratulated the people of Cuba on the occasion of National Rebellion Day, which was observed on Wednesday, July 26th.
In a statement, Venezuelan authorities recalled the attack on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks 64 years ago and highlighted the significance of the date for the Cuban people.
The President of the Saharawi Republic, Brahim Gali, sent a congratulatory message to his Cuban counterpart Raul Castro on the occasion. President Ghali renewed the willingness of the Saharawi government to strengthen the already solid ties of friendship uniting the Cuban and the Saharawi peoples.
In Ecuador, the Eloy Alfaro Association of doctors and professionals graduated in Cuba did community work to mark the occasion, which they dedicated revolutionary leader Fidel Castro.
In Mexico, members of Communist Party there staged a march to the US embassy in Mexico city to demand an end to the US blockade against Cuba.
In Madrid, meanwhile, hundreds of Spaniards rallied at Puerta del Sol, in downtown, to celebrate the Cuban revolutionary anniversary. Other regions of Spain, like Galicia and Asturias, also organized festivities to mark Cuba's National Rebellion Day.
