Havana, February 18 (RHC)-- The 21st edition of the Habano Festival was inaugurated on Monday at Havana’s International Convention Center.
More than 1,300 people from 70 countries are attending one of the most important cigar festivals in the world, which runs all this week -- through Friday, the 22nd.
The event program includes visits to tobacco farms and cigar factories, seminars, competitions and launches of new Habano lines. Special activities will be devoted to the brand San Cristóbal de La Habana, celebrating its 20th anniversary as well as 500 years since the founding of the Cuban capital, in addition to Hoyo de Monterrey and Trinidad.
The festival will close with concerts by celebrated national and international artists, as well as the customary humidor auction, proceeds from which will go to the Cuban Public Health system.
