Nairobi, December 11 (RHC)—The Vice President of the Cuban Council of Ministers, Inés María Chapman, was received on Tuesday by the President of the Republic of Kenya, His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta.
Chapman is visiting the African country, where she represented Cuba at the 9th Summit of Heads of State and Government of African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) nations.
During the meeting with Kenyatta, the parties acknowledged the good state of bilateral relations and expressed their intentions to continue deepening them in areas of common interest, Cubaminrex website said.
They also analyzed current issues regarding international events and cooperation between the ACP States.
Likewise, Kenya ratified its support to Cuba in the fight against the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the government of the United States against Cuba.
On Monday, Chapman held a meeting with the doctors who are on a mission in Kenya and was recognized by several countries participating in the IX Summit for Cuban collaboration.
On Twitter, she said that several countries participating in the 9th ACP Summit expressed appreciation for the humanitarian work carried out by Cuba in Africa.
