Eusebio Leal Spengler

Havana, December 16 (RHC)-- The funeral of the Historian of Havana City, Eusebio Leal Spengler, will take place this Thursday. Dr. Leal passed away last July 31st.

The Prime Time TV newscast Tuesday evening announced that from 9 am to 4:00 pm, the urn with his ashes will be exposed in the Hall of the Lost Steps of the Capitol Building of Havana.

During that period, citizens from all walks of life are expected to pay tribute as fair recognition to Leal's outstanding work.

The official farewell ceremony will take place on Friday, with the presence of leaders of the Party, the State, and the Government, representatives of the mass organizations, guests of the Historian's Office, other personalities and friends.

That same day, the burial of his ashes will take place in a private ceremony in the Convent of San Francisco de Asís in Old Havana.
