Havana, November 4, (RHC)-- Cuba has announced that after the completion of the full vaccination cycle of its population, it will administer a booster dose.
BioCubaFarma's director of Scientific Policy, Rolando Pérez, informed that the vaccination campaign with the booster dose should begin in Cuba in November and end in the first half of 2022.
He explained that the strategy under construction will be applied in a staggered manner, in stages, and will start with adult subjects six months after the completion of the complete vaccination scheme against Covid-19.
Pérez said that priority would be given to at-risk groups, including health and BioCubaFarma workers, tourism, customs, transportation workers, teachers, and professors.
Also, people over 60 years of age, pregnant women, patients with renal insufficiency, cancer, and other comorbidities will receive the booster dose.
