Santo Domingo, November 25 (RHC)-- The foreign ministers of Argentina and Cuba, Santiago Cafiero and Bruno Rodríguez, respectively, reiterated
on Thursday in the Dominican Republic, their countries' firm intention to continue strengthening ties of friendship and bilateral cooperation.
The meeting took place within the framework of the First Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ibero-America and is the first between the two foreign ministers, taking into account the recent appointment of the head of the Argentine diplomacy.
During the meeting, which took place in a friendly atmosphere, both parties exchanged on the links that characterize the relations between the two nations and within the regional integration and cooperation mechanisms framework.
They also noted their mutual interest in strengthening relations in the economic and commercial sector and discussed other issues on the international agenda.
Cafiero and Rodriguez will participate on Friday in the meeting of Ibero-American foreign ministers, where participants will discuss the post-pandemic recovery, proposals, and initiatives to strengthen regional integration, multilateralism, democracy, and people's welfare, among other issues, in preparation for the 28th Ibero-American Summit.
