Caracas, July 29 (RHC) -- Cuban First Vice President Miguel Diaz-Canel highlighted Monday in Caracas the unstoppable progress of the Bolivarian revolution under the leadership of Nicolás Maduro.
Remembering the late President Hugo Chavez in the ceremony to mark the 60th anniversary of his birth, the Cuban leader noted how alongside extraordinary leaders like Chavez, other valuable fighters arose to continue his revolutionary legacy.
Diaz Canel also acknowledged the loyalty, awareness of the Venezuelan reality, passion, determination and sense of justice of the current president, Nicolas Maduro, "who, in very difficult circumstances has managed to build a solid leadership and pursue Chavez' dreams".
“Under the direction of Nicolas Maduro, he added, the Bolivarian government has managed to defeat once again, with the full support of its people, the coup plans of the counterrevolution and imperialism,” the Cuban vice president added.
“In this crucial moment in history -he said- we reaffirm our unwavering support to the Bolivarian revolution and our eternal commitment with the continuation of the legacy of Commander President Hugo Chavez.”
Cuba's First Vice President Miguel Díaz-Canel arrived Monday in Venezuela, heading a Cuban delegation to attend the 3rd Congress of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and the celebrations of the late president Hugo Chavez's 60th birthday.
Bruno Rodríguez, Cuba's Foreign Minister, José Ramón Balaguer, the Head of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, and Rogelio Polanco, Cuba's Ambassador to Venezuela, are also part of the delegation.
