Havana, Oct 17 (RHC) The IV International Convention "Cuba-Health 2022” begins this afternoon in Havana with a keynote speech by Cuban President Miguel Díaz Canel on the Government´s Management System based on science and innovation and its health implications.
The event will bring together participants from more than 60 countries, including 33 scientific events, the 15th Health for All Trade Fair, the First International Medical Tourism and Wellbeing Fair, as well as book presentations, stamp cancellations, the opening of exhibitions, and cultural activities, among others.
With a view to the 2030 Health Agenda, and the Sustainable Development Goals in a post-covid world, representatives of international organizations, such as Carissa Etienne, director of the Pan American Health Organization, more than 50 official delegations, ministers, vice-ministers, rectors, academics, scientists, personalities from the medical sciences, entrepreneurs with technologies and medical supplies, as well as tour operators, among others, will be present at the mega-event that will last until next Friday.
Keynote lectures, symposiums, meetings, and presentations will distinguish the theoretical days that will include several congresses, which will be held at the Havana Convention Palace.
Pabexpo will also host the 15th edition of the associated fairs Health for All and the first Medical Tourism and Wellbeing, which will open mid-morning on Monday. The program includes the presentation of the offer in the stands area, work meetings, and conferences on innovative proposals, negotiation methods, and a portfolio of opportunities for foreign investment, among other topics and activities.
The Cuba Salud-2022 international convention begins today, on the 60th anniversary of the founding of the first revolutionary medical school, the Victoria de Girón Institute of Basic and Preclinical Sciences, an initiative of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro. The event is a special tribute to him and the evocation of his irrevocable sentence of humanism and solidarity, which distinguish Cuban medicine.
