Cuba and Vietnam in a parliamentary exchange
Hanoi, Nov 10 (RHC) The secretary of the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP) of Cuba, Homero Acosta, described as very profitable the working visit to Vietnam carried out by a delegation of that legislative body.
Receiving the delegation of the Cuban Parliament, Dinh Hue praised the resounding victory achieved by Cuba at the United Nations General Assembly, which for the 30th time and with an overwhelming majority approved a resolution against the blockade imposed by the United States.
Referring to the working session with his counterpart Bui Van, he commented that they analyzed the performance of both secretariats, in particular, and of the Parliament in general, the development of the legislative and control activity, as well as the role of the deputies and the permanent commissions.
These meetings in which ideas, working methods, and experiences are exchanged contribute a lot to the work of both legislative bodies, especially when dealing with two countries with so much tradition and history and which are true brothers like Cuba and Vietnam, he stressed.
The Secretary of the Cuban Council of State and his delegation will travel today to Da Nang province, then on Friday, they will go to Can Tho province, to conclude their stay on Saturday in southern Ho Chi Minh City.
During their stay in those territories, the island's parliamentarians will hold meetings with leaders of the Vietnam Communist Party committees and local government bodies, and tour some socio-economic centers of interest to them. (Source: PL)
