Havana, Nov 15 (RHC) A delegation of politicians and businessmen from New Jersey, United States, held on Tuesday an exchange with the president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce (CCC), Antonio Luis Carricarte, as part of a visit to the island coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, the meeting took place at the institution's headquarters with an atmosphere of cordiality and mutual respect.
The U.S. delegation, headed by Senator Gordon M. Johnson, was interested in the effects of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade that his country has imposed on Cuba for more than six decades.
The visit will last until November 19 and will include a tour of the 38th edition of the Havana International Fair (Fihav 2022) and the Mariel Special Development Zone.
The delegation from the northern country will also exchange with officials from the Foreign Ministry, and from the education, culture, and biopharmaceutical sectors. (Source: ACN)
