Havana, Nov 15 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Tuesday highlighted the commitment of Cuba and the United States to promote orderly, legal, and safe migration.
On his Twitter account, the foreign minister said that this was evidenced by the migration talks held in Havana between the two countries.
During last Wednesday, November 9, Carlos Fernández de Cossío, Cuban deputy foreign minister, received Rena Bitter, assistant secretary of the Department of State for Consular Affairs, and Ur Mendoza Jaddou, director of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Citizenship and Immigration Services.
The Foreign Ministry said that during the exchange, the Cuban representative reiterated the importance of the full resumption of immigration and consular services at the U.S. Embassy in Havana, including the processing of non-immigrant visas.
He also confirmed his willingness to contribute with the necessary steps for the full operation of the migratory and consular services of the diplomatic headquarters. (Source: ACN)
