Havana, Dec 7 (RHC) The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel began an official visit to Grenada on Wednesday, the third and last stop of his tour of Caribbean nations.
On his Twitter account, the head of state assured that during his visit the relations of fraternity and cooperation between both countries will be strengthened.
Grenada is a friendly country to which dozens of Cubans have contributed with their modest knowledge and efforts; he said on the social network.
In the same social network, the Cuban Foreign Ministry reported that Diaz-Canel was received at the Maurice Bishop airport by the Prime Minister of that country, Dickon Mitchell.
It added that both leaders visited the plaque unveiled by Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz (1926-2016) during his visit to Grenada.
The Cuban president began his tour of the region last December 3, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and then participated in the VIII Summit of the Caribbean Community and Cuba held in Barbados this Tuesday. (Source: ACN)
