Havana, March 17 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel called for a concert to be held tonight on the front steps the University of Havana, as the closing ceremony of the II International Colloquium Patria, which was held in the capital of the country on March 13 and 14th.
The president said on Twitter that he will attend the activity, which was postponed on Tuesday due to the alert issued by the Institute of Meteorology about an increase in the probability of showers, rains and isolated thunderstorms in the western region.
"The closing of Patria 2023 will be with words and songs; they say that without rain, but if it rains at last, that'd be good. We need it! We will sing in a downpour," tweeted Díaz-Canel.
The political-cultural show will be at 08:30 pm. It is organized by audiovisual filmmakers, musicians, video mapping artists (visual technique to project images on real surfaces) and national and international experts.
