Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz
Havana, May 27 (RHC) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz will attend the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council Meeting to be held next June in the city of Sochi, Russia.
Speaking via videoconference this Thursday at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel confirmed the participation of a high-level delegation in person at the event and in its collateral activities.
The dignitary expressed his confidence that the attendance of the delegation, headed by Marrero Cruz, will be fruitful and profitable for the exchange of experiences with all participating States and that new projects beneficial to all may emerge.
He reaffirmed that the expansion of ties with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) states (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia) is a priority for Cuba.
The Caribbean nation participated for the first time in that Council on February 5, 2021, after it was granted Observer State status to the EEU in December 2020. (Source: ACN)
