Havana, Aug 11 (RHC) The first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, received Thursday at the Palace of the Revolution, the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello.
"Hugging a brother at home, the greatest joy. We will see what the adversaries speculate. We only reiterate that whoever messes with Venezuela messes with Cuba and vice versa," the Caribbean nation's president wrote on Twitter.
Both leaders discussed the work of the Party, the formation of the militancy and popular participation, as well as the historic collaboration between the two nations and the legacy of Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez.
As reported by the Presidency of the island on Twitter, they also agreed to deepen the relations and academic exchanges between both political organizations.
They also talked about everything that both formations can do in the articulation of the left of this era, which today face a huge media and communicational war, based on lies, slander and discrediting campaigns.
Díaz-Canel expressed his admiration for the work being developed by Cabello in the PSUV and that every time he can he watches his program Con el mazo dando and enjoys it very much.
The Caribbean nation's president also thanked the permanent solidarity of Venezuela with Cuba and the support in the most complex moments, personally from its leader, Nicolás Maduro. (Source: Prensa Latina).
