Cuba ready for ELAM alumni congress
Havana, Nov 12 (RHC) Cuba is currently preparing to welcome delegates from the island and various nations who will attend the 1st International Congress of Graduates of the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM).
The event, which will take place from November 13 to 15, is being organized by ELAM and the International Medical Society of ELAM graduates as part of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the school, which has trained over 30,800 doctors from more than 120 countries.
In this context, the 2nd International Assembly of ELAM Alumni will also be held and will pay tribute to the memory of Fidel Castro, the founder of the medical academy.
According to a statement from ELAM, the in-person discussions of the event will take place at the Convention Palace in the capital, with the attendance of managers, employees, teachers, graduates, students, and researchers directly involved in university education.
The conclave, held via video conference, allows for participation in pre-congress courses on current topics of interest in higher education and medical sciences.
The scientific program of the Congress includes interventions by Cuban and international experts, as well as experts from international organizations, in the formats of keynote lectures, panel discussions, roundtables, research presentations, poster sessions, and other forms of dissemination of scientific and technological innovations.
