During the peak of the eclipse, the moon will be indistinguishable, as it will not be illuminated by direct sunlight

Havana, March 13 (RHC) A complete lunar eclipse will occur under exceptionally advantageous circumstances for Cuba, with its entire territory situated within the area of complete eclipse, as explained by meteorologists today.

On Friday, March 14, at the crack of dawn, the eclipse will be visible across America, Europe, and a significant portion of Africa. The entire event can be witnessed, with the Moon passing through the constellations of Leo and Virgo.

Cuban meteorologist Luis E. Ramos reported on social media that during the peak of the eclipse, the moon will be indistinguishable, as it will not be illuminated by direct sunlight.

Nevertheless, the Earth's atmosphere will cast a faint glow on its surface, as the Sun's rays penetrate the denser layers of air.

Therefore, the moon will appear reddish due to the scattering of light, as happens during twilight.

In 2025, there will be two total lunar eclipses, with this being the first. The second will occur in September and will be visible from Europe, Russia, Asia, Australia, Africa, and Antarctica. (Source: Prensa Latina)
